An updated 2015 Launch Form is available online. Marine Services will be working 6 day weeks (Monday - Saturday) starting April 11, weather and ice permitting.
 
City Station launch is scheduled for April 24, with a weather-alternate day of April 25. We will not be scheduling any boat-launches on the Island for these two days.
 
Sailpast is again relatively early (May 16 weekend); please take this into account so that we can get your boat launched, commissioned and mast-stepped (if required) in a timely fashion.

Four RCYC Optimist sailors have been chosen to take part in the two day Volvo Academy event May 9th and 10th, taking place at the Volvo Ocean Race Village, Newport Rhode Island. This will be where the Volvo Ocean Race boats finish leg 5 of the grueling 8-leg round the world race. The Volvo Ocean 65’s are scheduled to finish leg 5 between May 4th and 8th, however with the fickle Azores located half way between the start (Itajai, Brazil) and the finish (Newport, Rhode Island) the team may see them finishing as they are taking part in the Volvo Academy...more

Brenda was born in Toronto, Canada. She began sailing at the age of 6 at the Queen City Yacht Club on the Toronto Islands. Brenda lived aboard her parents boat during the summers and this was where her sailing passion began. Brenda took all of her junior club sailing levels from Opti, White Sail, Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Brenda completed her levels at several yacht clubs including Whitby Yacht Club, Frenchmans Bay Yacht Club, and now is currently a member of the Royal Canadian Yacht Club. more
