Sailing Office Hours of Operation (May – September)
Monday – Thursday: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Friday – Sunday: 9:00 am - 9:00 pm
The Flag Officers, Members, and staff invite you to enjoy our extensive facilities, which cover three islands, 23 acres in total, nestled within the City of Toronto Island park system.
In addition to our 355 docks our Island facilities include the following amenities:
The Island Clubhouse
The gracious two-story, southern-style Island Clubhouse is home to the Food and Beverage services which are offered in the Formal Dining Room, the informal Ovens Room, the Sailors’ Bar, on the Verandah and (weather permitting) at the swimming pool. For hours of operation and to make a reservation please call Reception at 416-967-7245.
The Marine Yard
Offers fuel (gas and diesel), pump out, a marine chandlery with basic boat supplies, mechanical and rigging repair services and canoe rentals.

Tuesday & Thursday: 8:00 am to 6:00 pm

The Island Pro Shop
Located within the Chandlery, you will find a selection of clothing and souvenirs. In addition the staff will assist you in arranging sports activities. Phone: 416-934-4423.

Swimming, tennis, bike and canoe rentals: For swimming please sign in with lifeguard at the pool house. Tennis rentals are coordinated through the Pro Shop. Canoe rentals are arranged at the Chandlery located in the Marine Yard. Bike rentals are located on Snug Island.
The Toronto Islands can be accessed through the Snug Island gate. Security Cards may be borrowed from the Dockmaster at the Sailing Office.
For safety, comfort and convenience of all, we ask that our Members, guests and visitors observe the following policies.
applies to all adults and all children ages 10 and over. Smart, casual sportswear including shoes and tops are appropriate around the Club and on the launch. Please note the following additions to this general rule:
For men, a shirt with a collar and sleeves is required. For women, smart casual attire. Persons wearing jeans or bathing suits will not be allowed on the launch.
*Formal Dining Room:
Jacket (no tie) required after 1800 hrs.
*Bathing suits and bare feet:
May not be worn outside the pool area.
*Tennis and Lawn Bowling:
“Whites” (10% colour trim) with proper shoes on courts and bowling green.
age 16 and under are to be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
The legal drinking age in Ontario is 19. Alcoholic beverages may be consumed only on your boat while moored at the Club and in specifically licensed areas on Club property. We must insist on full compliance with Ontario laws.
of Members and guests alike are permitted to walk on a leash from the launch to your yacht, as well as on South Island and Snug Island. Doggie stations can be found on South Island and Snug Island for your convenience. Any off leash activity must take place off RCYC property, on Centre Island.
are permitted to be transported to the Island on the launch as space permits. Please walk your bike from the launch dock to the pool area and vice versa.
Rollerblades, Skateboards, Push Scooters
are not permitted anywhere on Club property.
Kwasind and Hiawatha operate regularly between the Island and our City Station (150 Cherry Street). Some service is provided to the harbourfront at Queens Quay during specific times of the week. Your Visiting Yachtsman’s Card will give you access to the launch. Please see the Dockmaster for passes.
*Launch service is to the front dock located north of the Clubhouse. If raining the launch goes to the rain dock located south of the Sailing Office.
Taxis can be arranged by the Quartermaster to meet you at City Station when you come off the Launch.
