Youth Barre | Ages: 10 - 14

Inspired by ballet, yoga and pilates these high repetition exercises focus on isometric strength training. A barre workout includes total body conditioning with specific focus on arms, back, core, glutes and legs. By utilizing the barre as a prop, participants will notice improvement in posture, strength, flexibility and balance. Barre is a great addition to our new youth focused programming helping to build improved body awareness, conditioning and overall confidence.

Minimum of six participants required.

Youth Boxing | Ages: 10 - 14

Youth Boxing teaches basic boxing skills and techniques such as; stance, guard, movement, jab, cross, and hook. It increases strength and improves endurance. Youth Boxing class will include cardio calisthenics, shadow boxing, bag work, partner drills, pad work and core strengthening exercises. These skills will give kids self-defence tools as well as self-confidence while keeping them physically fit.

Minimum of six participants required.

Youth Yoga | Ages: 10 - 14

Yoga can help young adults find ease and balance in their busy schedules and complement their other athletic activities. Youth Yoga will promote both inner and outer strength through a mixture of playful yoga sequences, balance exercises (on hands and feet), martial arts, and restorative yoga postures with deep relaxation. All of this will be offered in a safe, be-yourself, no judgment environment.

Minimum of six participants required.

Youth Bootcamp | Ages: 10 - 14

Youth Fitness Boot Camp is a high energy fun filled exercise class for young adults. This class strives to increase the overall health and fitness level of youth  in a fun, safe, positive and motivating environment by utilizing obstacle courses, fitness games, partner activities, body weight exercises, resistance bands, circuits and more.

Minimum of six participants required.

Youth Training Program | Ages: 14 -15

The Youth Training Program is for members that are 14 or 15 years old. The Member will meet one-on-one with a personal trainer over the course of a five-week program. The sessions are booked by the availability of the trainer and Member.  

Learning Objectives
  1. Rules and etiquette.
  2. Three cardio machines of the member’s choosing.
  3. 8 – 10 resistance exercises. Input from member may  be used.
  4. Full body stretch program.
Criteria  for Success
  1. Know the rules and etiquette of the Fitness Section.
  2. Know and demonstrate the  safe operation of cardio  equipment.
  3. Know and demonstrate the safe and correct technique of the exercises in their resistance program.
  4. Know and demonstrate the safe and correct technique of the exercises in their stretching program.
  5. Know and demonstrate the safe and correct technique of the exercises in their resistance program.
  6. Know and demonstrate the safe and correct technique of the exercises in their stretching program.
COST: 
The cost of the program is $419.00. Upon completion of the Youth Training Program and passing the evaluation, the junior Member may sign-up to the Fitness Section.
