Adult Programs

2019/2020

SWIMFIT

Swimfit program is designed to help you get in shape, develop your stroke and improve your cardiovascular endurance. Participants meet once a week and are provided with a workout that can be adjusted for varying skill levels. Maximum of four participants.

SCHEDULE: Tuesdays 10:30 am – 11:30 am & 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Fall: September 17th – December 10th (13 weeks) - $247.00
Winter: January 7th – March 10th (10 weeks) - $190.00
Spring: March 24th – May 25th (10 weeks) -  $190.00  

 

EMERGENCY FIRST AID WITH CPR B

Emergency First Aid is for people who want a general knowledge of first aid principles and the emergency treatment of injuries. Skills include: victim assessment, CPR, choking and what to do for external bleeding, heart attack, stroke wounds and burns. Includes CPR-B certification. Recognized by Ontario's Workplace Safety & Insurance Board. Minimum of three participants. 

SCHEDULE: Sunday 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
COST: $99.00 per lesson  

Fall: October 27th 
Winter: February 2nd
Spring: April 26th

 
 

STANDARD FIRST AID WITH CPR C 

Standard First Aid provides comprehensive training covering all aspects of first aid and CPR. Standard First Aid incorporates all of Emergency First Aid and is designed for those who require a more in-depth understanding of first aid including: legal implications of first aid treatment, spinal injuries, heat or cold injuries, bone and joint injuries, chest injuries, and medical emergencies. Includes CPR-C certification.

SCHEDULE: Saturday & Sunday 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
COST: $180.00 per lesson  

Fall: October 26th – October 27th 
Winter: February 1st – February 2nd
Spring: April 25th – April 26th

Aqua Conditioning and Aqua Intervals 

Due to the buoyancy of water, aqua classes will strengthen your muscles and improve your cardiovascular fitness without subjecting your body to additional wear and tear. Aqua training sessions are being used by fitness enthusiasts and athletes alike to improve conditioning and prevent injuries.

Water Running

Deep Water Running is just jogging in water deep enough that your feet don't touch the bottom. As simple as it sounds it offers many benefits. Deep water running is not only a commonly recommended rehabilitation tool for sports injuries, but it's also a fitness and accelerated training method used by athletes and exercise fanatics everywhere.

Packages

Private Adult Swimming Lessons are available on Mondays at 6:30 pm. Other times could be arranged upon request. This program is designed for any skill level from beginners to advanced swimmers. For registration please email Aquatics at aquatics@rcyc.ca.
