The RCYC Fitness Centre will be offering a number of programs, seminars and workshops throughout the year to keep you informed, challenged, and motivated! Keep an eye out for more details around the Club and in the Kwasind and Hiawatha.

Our diverse selection of specialty programs are designed with a specific goal in mind. Whether you're looking to improve your nutrition habits, prepare for the ski or sailing season or learn how to dance, these programs will help you achieve your desired results.

Cuban Style Salsa Dancing
In this program, students will learn timing, basic steps, and simple turn partners. No previous dance or Salsa experience required.

Fit Body, Fit Brain

One of the best ways the brain can regenerate itself, is by doing specialized, complex movements that incorporate both left and right sides of the brain. Come train your body and your brain with exercises that challenge the brain and help develop new neurological pathways.

Qi Gong

Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) is an ancient Chinese exercise and healing technique that involves meditation, controlled breathing and movement exercises.

TRAINER SPEAKER SERIES: Neuroplasticity
Neuroplasticity is the ability of the brain to change itself. Throughout one's lifetime, the brain’s synapses may strengthen or weaken. This seminar will focus on how learning physical exercises and tasks, causes the brain to strengthen synapses and create new neuropathways, keeping the brain fresh, vital and healthy.

TRAINER SPEAKER SERIES: Muscle Activation Techinique
A Neuromuscular Approach to Joint Health - The Foot, Hip & Knee

Known as the "art of eight limbs", Muay Thai is a martial art that utilizes the fists, elbows, knees, and shins. In this program you will learn the foundations of stance, movement, and strikes of Muay Thai, while building your endurance, conditioning, coordination, and balance.
