More Olympic medallists than any other club in Canada. Dozens of Canada’s Cup victories. Recognition at nearly every level of competition, from Sail Canada Youth Championships to the SailGP international circuit, attracting sailors from all over the world to our Toronto Island Clubhouse. Since 1852, the Royal Canadian Yacht Club has been Canada’s premier sailing club. Through it all, we’ve dedicated ourselves to excellence in sport sailing, joy in recreational cruising and promoting this special way of life.

We have expert-led programs for youth, adults and women, along with clinics to help you refine your skills. We cater to sailors of all levels, from beginners to competitors on the world stage.

In keeping with our long tradition of competitive excellence in yacht racing, we host a variety of regattas each year—provincial, national and international. We also hold Midweek Racing for our Members throughout the spring, summer and fall.

JUNIOR CLUB

A Summer Tradition Since 1925

While helping participants become skilled in yacht handling, our Junior Club also fosters long-lasting friendships as young sailors spend their summer days discovering life on the water. As the Club that’s produced more competitive sailors than any other in Canada, we encourage excellence in sailing—but our top priority is introducing kids to this great sport.

Community & Tradition || Top of the Class

Our Club boasts a wide array of fleets, including the Cruising Sailors’ Squadron, J/105s, 8 Metres, Sharks and I14s, among others. We also offer Club Fleets, available for Members to use throughout the summer.
