KINESIOLOGY

The practice of kinesiology incorporates the sciences of biomechanics, anatomy, and physiology, and also considers neuroscience and psychosocial factors. A kinesiologist is a healthcare professional who specializes in the study of human movement. Their expertise lies in understanding how the body moves and functions, which allows them to help individuals improve their physical performance, prevent injuries, and manage chronic conditions. Similar to a physiotherapist, they assess clients' movement patterns, strength, flexibility, and overall physical fitness. They use this information to identify any issues that might be causing pain, discomfort, or limiting performance. Their goal is to help people move better, feel better, and live healthier lives. Schedule an appointment with our resident Kineseologist, Andes Palamino, to develop your own personalized exercise plan.

Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is a unique form of assisted stretching designed to improve flexibility, reduce muscle tension, and enhance overall movement. Unlike traditional stretching, FST targets not only muscles but also the fascia — the connective tissue surrounding muscles, bones, and joints. A certified therapist guides you through gentle, pain-free movements to increase range of motion, improve posture, and boost athletic performance. It's commonly used by athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and individuals seeking pain relief or improved mobility.

Julieta Martinez, Fascial Stretch Therapist (FST)

Julieta has an extensive background in both FST and personal training, blending her expertise with methods such as the Alexander Technique, the Feldenkrais Method, and Dynamic Alignment through imagery. Her wealth of knowledge and years of experience have led her to become a professional trainer, working with golfers and skiers on international tours in Canada and beyond. Julieta specializes in "Pre and Post" knee/hip replenishment, "Pre and Post" menopause, and back injury prevention. She focuses on improving coordination, alignment, and range of motion to alleviate tension in the spine. Her unique approach combines her passion and diverse skills to help clients enhance their physical well-being.
