The RCYC Fitness Centre will be offering a number of workshops, seminars, challenges, and specialty programs throughout the year to keep you informed, challenged, and motivated! Keep an eye out for more details around the club and in the Kwasind and Hiawatha.

Our diverse selection of specialty programs are designed with a specific goal in mind. Whether it’s to prepare for the ski or sailing season, learn how to dance, or see how far you can push yourself in AMRAP, these programs will get you the results you want.

Fall

W.O.W. (Women On Weights)

The best way to empower a female is to make her strong! Join us for six weeks to learn proper weight lifting techniques and improved strength and power.

Minimum of six participants required.

Dancing Lessons | Session 1

From the grace and elegance of the Waltz and Foxtrot to the rhythms of Latin dances like Rumba and Cha Cha and the sensuality of Tango, we’ll cover the basics in this two part program. Minimum of twelve participants required.

AMRAP

Winter

Latin Dance Lessons

We have spiced up our ballroom dancing series by including only the dances with a latin flare. Have fun, get some exercise and heat up the dance floor with the amazing instructors from Dance Café! Register today to avoid disappointment.

Build a Better Back

Experience greater awareness of how core strength, flexibility and postural alignment are an integral part of a healthy back. This five week program will incorporate strength work using balls, bands and weights as well as yoga postures and breath work. A strong body begins with a healthy back!

Minimum of six participants required.

TRX LEVEL 1 Workshop

This workshop is for anyone who has used TRX before and is comfortable in the straps and is looking to take it to the next level. Join us for a full body workout that will have your heart rate up and the sweat pouring.
Using a combination of principles and techniques, the focus of this workshop is to elevate your body’s ability to do MORE than you thought it could – safely. Earn your progressions and find out what you're actually capable of.

Sail Into Fitness

Increase core stability, enhance endurance, and improve total body strength! This four week comprehensive program will help you build a solid foundation for optimal performance out on the water!
