ADAF Update: Lindsay Davies

My name is Lindsay Davies and on June 8th and 9th I competed at the USODA Great Lakes Championship in Erie, Pennsylvania. This was my first time attending the Great Lakes regatta so I didn’t know what to expect. The conditions where not that different from home though because it was still in a lake.

The first day of the regatta the wind picked up to about 15-20 kts as the day went on. By the end, we got 4 races in that day. On the second day we launched but the wind was gusting over 25kts so the Race Committee sent us back in and we waited on shore for about an hour. When they sent us out again the wind was very light. They managed to get one race in that day so that we could have a drop race.  I ended up finishing 12th overall out of 68 and received an award for 5th place girl.

I owe a big thank you to the Members and the ADF committee for your support.
