ADF Update: Mariah Millen
Mariah Millen and her team mate Ali ten Hove just finished their European summer season of racing. It has been an extensive two months of training on and off the water, as they prepared for the Princess Sofia Regatta in Spain, and the European Championships in England. After a somewhat disappointing performance in Palma de Mallorca having a strong first day of qualifiers, and struggling on the second- they were able to pin point areas of weakness so they could focus on them leading up to the European Championships in Dorset, England. During the event the team was able to put together some promising results despite the fact that they both were suffering with bad colds. The long hours of training that team ten Hove/Millen put in gave them a solid foundation to fall back on, and they did their best to focus on adaptability and resilience to finish the event. Finishing 15
th
, the team was able to push through to deliver the best 49erfx Europeans result yet!
Follow THM Racing as they continue training and racing as they will be competing in the 2019 Pan am Games this summer along with the Olympic Test event.
Without the support of the ADF and the RCYC Mariah’s Olympic Campaign would not be possible. Thank you for all the help THM has received. Mariah and Ali will keep pushing forward as they represent the RCYC in the pursuit for Olympic Gold!
